Casabe a product with history!
yucca bread (also known as Casabe) is a flat bread, as hard and thin as a cookie, made from yuca flour.
A culinary heritage of the American Indian ethnic group, one of the oldest. In those days it used to be called "pan de Indias" once the Spanish discovered it when they came to America. The conquerors used to pack them in large quantities for their long journeys from one continent to another. In Venezuela, it is still part of the daily diet of many indigenous peoples.
